When God created everything that has life in them, His intention and desire was that all of them grow (or increase) on the earth. This He demonstrated by putting seeds in fruits and blessing the fishes, birds and man to increase and multiply upon the face of the earth (Gen. 1:28). This should make smallness, littleness, stagnation and backwardness become a concern to every child of God. God's intention for us is to move from one level to another better or higher level.

The phrase "the land shall yield her increase"

, underscores God's sovereignty over the natural world and His ability to provide for the needs of His people. It corroborates the principle of divine providence, whereby God ensures the productivity of the land for the benefit of His children who honour Him with their obedience. It further highlights the comprehensive nature to abundantly provide, sustain and nourish the people of God. To show that it is His will for us to increase in all our endeavours; God has made room for us to grow in the following dimensions: From glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18), From grace to grace (2 Peter 3:18), and from more to more (Philippians 1:9). We can now see that there is no excuse for not increasing whatever God has committed into your hands. Our lives and endeavours should grow in due season. God has promised to give you rain in due season in order to enable increase manifest in all we do as we walk in His statutes and keep His commandments (Lev. 26:3-4).

God wants to give you more peace, more wisdom, more spiritual sensitivity, more strength, more influence, more joy, more taith, more favour, and more material resources.

Child of God, reject everything that resists increase in your life; it is not the will of your Heavenly Father for you. Follow the precepts of God.
