The Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament signifies the presence of God. When it was being carried to the City of David and the Uzza touched it and consequently died; it was later brought to the house of Obededom the Hittite.

Our text is an account of how the Ark of the Covenant (depicting the presence of God) secured an enviable record of increase for Obededom within three months of its stay in his house.

Beloved, God's presence is the most guaranteed way to secure an increase in your personal life and in all you do. With all your desire for increase, how much of His presence have you secured?

Jesus says in John 15:5: Tam the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relationship is intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant.

Separated, you can't produce a thing" (MSG).

Today, make a decision to consciously cultivate the habit of keeping God's presence with you at all times. Two ways you can achieve this are by reading and meditating on His word and praying often (especially in the Holy Ghost). With the Holy Ghost living in you as His temple, you will automatically carry the presence of God with you. And with God's Word richly dwelling in your heart; you will be a walking temple of His presence.
